Namings

Naming Ceremonies are often chosen by parents who do not want a church ceremony, but want to be able to formally ‘name’ their baby or child in the presence of family and friends. These ceremonies are usually held in an intimate environment such as a family home or garden.

Namings are not just for babies. Sometimes an older child, or even an adult who was never christened or ‘named’, might enjoy having their own ceremony as something special to remember.

Namings may also be included in a wedding ceremony — a way of uniting the whole family.

You can choose the style of Naming Ceremony that suits you and your family. A Naming Certificate will be presented on the day as well as certificates for the other participants (parents, grandparents, guardians/mentors/godparents).
